Greater Intercessory
Christian Church Ministries

Intercessory Christian Church was formed due to two friends, Minister
William Ford and Minister Allen McBee, desired a place to pray. They
began utilizing a small building in the Pine Ridge Community. Soon others
began to join them on their endeavors and then bible study was added to
the praying. The building became too small to hold all that was coming.
They obtained a larger building at 210 West Road, within the same
community. On June 8, 1986 Intercessory Christian Church of Jesus Christ
was established with W.E. Ford, Sr as Pastor. The motto of the church
became “God is a god of Another Chance”, according to 2 Chronicles 7:14
which says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble
themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their
land.”

In 2002, the Intercessory Christian Church of Jesus Christ became
known as Greater Intercessory Christian Church Ministries. On January 14,
2006, GICC’s building caught on fire and nearly everything was lost except
the organ, the podium, and the cross. Apostle Ford continued to shepherd
the flock from other locations. December 30, 2006, GICC moved to a new
location at 221 White Oak Road in Greenville. We remained there for 8
years. In 2015 we relocated to our current address at 201 Rutherford Road.
We are a ministry founded on biblical principles. The Greater
Intercessory Christian Church ministry incorporates diverse races, ethnic
backgrounds, economical factors, and social status. Our primary focus is
restoration and kingdom building. We promote spiritual worship with God
the father through the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are firm
believers that "GOD IS A GOD OF ANOTHER CHANCE!"
